the importance of being earnest

I don't do this often but it's a tech post.

I've just spent 2 hours wondering why I couldn't access my noddy servlet. I even threw out Tomcat declaring it a 'pile of utter @$%$' and went back to old favourite Jetty albeit the newest version - Jetty 5. Still no luck.

It turns out I've been out of the game too long, it's been a few years since I wrote a servlet from scratch. But here is the answer proving once again that tech blogs are a wonderful thing.
